Quite Quotable

Kinda like walking on a treadmill :)

Most of the time, when I get quoted it comes back and bites me in the ass.

Things like:  “I’ll have the house clean by the time you get back”

or

“Sure, I’ll keep an eye on the boys boys – no problem.”

Yeah, sometimes being quoted sucks.

But there are others much more profound than myself who are actually worth quoting.

Quotes can serve to inspire and motivate.  To make you move out of your comfort zone and into a personal success zone.

Die on a Treadmill?

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

I just saw this video clip and instantly thought of you guys.  It is from an interview Will Smith did while promoting the movie “I am Legend”.

In this clip Will talks has several inspirational points, but the one about the treadmill really caught my attention.  It speaks to the importance of “Mind Set” and believing in oneself.

To find out what he means you must watch the video.

(The whole video is good, but you can fast forward to 4:15 to get to the treadmill part)

It happens to me every week.  Without fail I get numerous emails and new clients who come to me and are utterly confused about their lack of progress.

They say essentially the same thing:  “I walk on my treadmill every day for 45 minutes and yet I am not losing any weight.”

My answer is more or less always the same : “ That’s because walking is for suckers.”

Priority Report

Monday, December 1st, 2008

I have spent the past week in beautiful El Dorado Hills, Ca, (just north of Sacramento) sponging off my younger brother Joe.

Joe and his wife Natascha have 2 kids, Anthony and Gavin, that are close enough in age to our 2 kids Gabe & Nate that they get along great even though they do not get to see each other often enough.

Joe & Tash love to cook and entertain, and I love to eat and be entertained so this has really worked out pretty well for me.
