Living your life by the roll of the dice. Ooohh, it sounds so sexy and devious.
So while you might not want your fate determined by the toss of dice, how about let it determine your workout?
I thought I would share with you one of my workout tricks. It is pretty much an anywhere / anytime type of workout so it is great for when you are stuck at home or when you travel.
I call this workout “Dem Bones” and I use it when I need to shake things up with clients & bootcamps
The only equipment you’ll need is a pair of dice and a clock or a watch to keep time. Other than that all the moves in the example below are strictly bodyweight. (Although the moves you pick are up to you)
First you choose 6 exercises and assign them a number. Like this:
-
Squats
-
Push Ups
-
Sit Ups
-
Lunges
-
Burpees
-
Mountain Climbers
Now the first die tells you what exercise you’ll be doing. The second tells you how long you’ll be doing it ( x 10 seconds).
So for instance if you roll a 2 and a 4, you’ll be doing Push Ups for 40 seconds. If you roll a 3 and a 6 you’ll be doing Sit Ups for 60 seconds.
Just keep repeating the rolls for 20-30 minutes with minimal rest and you’ll have your ass kicked in short order. Sometimes you’ll be pissed you get burpees for 60 seconds 3 times in a row, but it evens out when you get another move for only 10 seconds.
As opposed to to other situations where you roll the dice – this time you can only win.
